DISCIPLESHIP (1).png

In Matthew 4:19 Jesus invited some of his first disciples by saying to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men” (ESV).  We believe that this invitation describes the definition of a disciple and that to follow Jesus will mean a life changed at the head, heart, and hands level of our being.  A disciple is one who knows and follows Christ, is being changed by Christ, and is committed to the mission of Christ.

Discipleship is the foundation of what Jesus commanded us to do as his followers (Matthew 28:19-20).  At Catalyst we believe the best way to make disciples is through relationships (Relational Discipleship).  Why?  Because this is the way we see Jesus did it in scripture.

One of the best ways to get connected in discipleship is to become a part of a Catalyst Discipleship Group.  These groups are safe places for people to grow in their relationship with Christ and one another while being led by a trained and equipped Discipleship Group Leader.  By the end of a discipleship group you will be encouraged and equipped to lead your own group.  If you are interested in learning more about discipleship or getting connected with a discipleship group, email our Minister of Discipleship, Richie Goad, at richie@catalystchurch.org
